Our mission, is to reach out to the single parent families in Stark County and help them where we can. We have opened a donation center and with what we have, we reach out into the community and help single parents raising children. There are many families that are in need of the basics. From appliances, furniture, food, and clothes we reach out and freely give to help them out. We also have Christian counseling available in dealing with today’s problems. We also offer visitation in nursing homes, hospitals and prisons. We have a correspondence program free on over 57 different subjects. Agape Outreach also has a prayer chain available to everyone. Our bi-monthly Newsletter contains stories, poems, Bible studies, letters from inmates, as well as a word search puzzle and cross word puzzle. We simply to reach out to those in need and to those without a home church or a pastor to call on. We are a non profit, non-denominational outreach, based out of Canton, Ohio and believes that it’s not about any one denomination / religion, but it’s all about a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In prison, we have several formats that we use to reach the needs of a particular prison, for example: in one prison we hold work-shops dealing with real issues that inmates face every day. In other prisons we hold nothing but praise and worship services as we enter into a higher level of praise and worship, and yet in other prisons we hold regular church services.
Agape Outreach also offers Christian counseling support for the families of inmates as their world has been devastated. We work with them to help piece their life back together as many of them have no where to turn.
